The Woman Behind Waxflower Bridal
So, you may have checked out my About Page (which, if you haven’t, details a little bit about my background and the glittering bridal experience I offer at our sumptuous Bristol bridal boutique) but, luckily for you, the Waxflower team dished out some further rapid fire questions for me to answer, allowing you to get more of an idea who you’ll be meeting at your Waxflower Bridal appointment (and hopefully finding the wedding dress/custom jumpsuit/cool bridal separates etc. of your dreams with)!
From the wedding day ensemble I’d wear 24/7 (no, really) to the celebrity I’d love to style for the aisle and my mid-day pick-me-up, this Q&A is the perfect way to get to know a little more about me…

#1 When did you launch Waxflower Bridal?
“I will always remember this day so well, Oct 25th 2018. My first day of opening I sold Carrie to my gorgeous bride by Jenny Packham. That was such a lovely moment!”
#2 Whats the meaning behind the name Waxflower Bridal?
"Why the name Waxflower Bridal? Well, the Waxflower is a beautiful small flower (perfect as a bridal bouquet filler!) which in the language of flowers means 'Everlasting love', so romantic hey!? I thought it would be a very fitting name for a boutique assisting brides in celebrating the everlasting love they have found."
#3 Current favourite dress or piece in-store?
“Oooo this is a tricky one as I love all the pieces for different reasons but if I HAD to choose it would be Let's Dance due the beautiful beading, low v front and back and it is such a beautiful cut! Really showing your shape off with the fit of the top and the in the fuller skirt with the cut/fabric going down rather than out at the hips. Also, the skirt has that cheeky split and pockets with a dramatic train and it is so light for a full skirt due to the uber luxe taffeta."
#4 The celebrity you’d love to style in bridal would be…
“Florence Pugh - she has a cool and stylish edge to her and her looks!"
#5 Describe your own wardrobe/style in three words
“Leopard print, sequin and colour.”
#6 Who designed your studio interior? Where did the inspo for this come from?
“Me, I did everything as I wanted Waxflower Bridal to be completely unique to everyone else! I wanted it to feel homely yet stylish and memorable! I did the painting, choosing the flooring, curtains ,the furniture, fittings and designed and made the railings etc. It was SO much fun! I took sprinkles from Sketch London with inspiration from interior magazines, Pinterest and dashes of my own taste and just brought everything together! I guess my background is in design so it was such a joy being able to bring my vision to life! Hard but fun!”
#7 Favourite accessory in-store right now?
“I’m loving our custom handrwritten embroidery ties - where my girl's can have something handwritten by someone special e.g. a section from a note, poem etc. which can then be embroidered directly onto the soft tulle. It can be used as a bow for their hair, a tie for the hair or to place around a bride's bouquet. It is something really special and personal to the bride which they can use and keep for ever.”
#8 The piece you’d like to wear 24/7 would be…
“The Silver Sequin Dress by Bowen Dryden. I mean, check out the tassels! As soon as you put this one on, you feel a million dollars!! And there is nothing like it! Plus, I do also love the Mayfair Dress by Halfpenny London.”
#9 Favourite comment from a bride?
“You are like sunshine in human form. I feel so happy that I have made a new friend in you.”
#10 Mid-day pick-me-up is?
“The most delicious donut from Chandos Deli in Clifton Village! Or, of course, a flat white and chocolate!!”
