ABOUT KATHY | WAXFLOWER BRIDAL

I’ve always loved bridal and fashion—especially where the two come together.

Before opening Waxflower Bridal, I spent over eleven years working in the luxury bridal and fashion industry. I began my career working for a British bridal accessories designer, before becoming a senior stylist and manager of a well-known bridal boutique in the UK.

This experience gave me an in-depth understanding of the bridal world and a deep passion for helping brides find something that feels truly special. It also inspired me to create my own boutique—one that feels modern, relaxed, and fashion-led.

Training & Fashion Background

During this time, I completed a BA (Hons) in Footwear Design and Making at Cordwainers, London College of Fashion.

While studying, I had the opportunity to design footwear for brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Comme des Garçons, and Topshop. I also completed internships at Rebecca Taylor in New York, Browns Focus and Emmy London in London, and Hermione Harbutt in Bristol.

These experiences gave me an invaluable insight into the fashion industry—from high-end craftsmanship to contemporary design development.

Through my studies and career, I developed a deep appreciation for exceptional craftsmanship, beautiful fabrics, and precise cut.

I truly believe that the way a garment is made transforms how it makes you feel. The right fabric and silhouette don’t just look beautiful—they give confidence, comfort and presence.

This philosophy is at the heart of Waxflower Bridal.

From your first enquiry through to your fittings and final collection, you will always be working directly with me throughout your bridal journey.

I take great pride in offering a relaxed, one-to-one bridal styling experience in my Bristol boutique, where every bride feels supported, understood and never rushed.

A Relaxed Private Bridal Appointment

Your bridal appointment lasts 1 hour 30 minutes and is completely exclusive to you. During this time, you’ll have the Waxflower Bridal boutique in Clifton Village all to yourself.

This creates a calm, unhurried space where you can try on a curated selection of modern wedding dresses, bridal jumpsuits and separates at your own pace.

There is no pressure to decide quickly—we focus on helping you find the one in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.

Expert Bridal Styling & Guidance

With years of experience in the luxury bridal industry, I am here to guide you through every part of the process.

From fabric selection and silhouette advice to styling and fit, I use my background in bridal fashion to help you discover what truly suits you.

Most importantly, I take time to understand you—your personality, your wedding vision, and how you want to feel on your day.

A Truly Personal Service From Start to Finish

At Waxflower Bridal, the experience doesn’t end when you choose your outfit.

I love staying in touch with brides throughout their journey—offering advice on shoes, accessories and final styling touches to complete your look.
